About Chris Hill

Chris is a native and sixth-generation north Texan, and a second-generation resident of McKinney and Collin County. In 1976, Chris’ parents moved to McKinney and purchased a home on West Hunt Street in the heart of the McKinney historical district. Chris now resides in McKinney with his high school sweetheart and wife of 14 years, Laura, and their three children.

Chris has been an active conservative and member of the community, serving as a Republican precinct chair, election judge, and delegate/alternate at Republican state conventions since 1996.  He has served as the Treasurer for the Collin County Republican Party and has served on the budget committee, financial review committee, bylaws committee, and as chair of the technology committee. In 2010, Chris was presented the Chairman’s Award for volunteer of the year by Collin County Republican Party Chairman Fred Moses.

He is an Eagle Scout and volunteers as a Cub Scout leader for his two sons. He and his family attend and volunteer at Christ Fellowship church in McKinney.  Chris also volunteers in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of McKinney.

 

Education

Chris began his education at Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he earned a Bachelor of Political Science degree. He also earned a Master of Pastoral Leadership degree from Columbia Biblical Seminary, a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University, and a Master of Accounting and Information Management degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Chris has the skills and experience necessary to lead Collin County with excellence!

Professional Certifications

Chris has extensive financial and organizational leadership experience, serving as a corporate accountant and Controller in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Throughout his career, Chris has been responsible for directing and executing the full range of corporate financial functions, treasury operations, and financial analysis. He has directed the development of numerous annual budgets, overseen internal audits and internal financial controls, and coordinated independent audits and financial reports. Chris has been responsible for the accuracy of his companies’ financial records and the integrity of his companies’ assets. Chris is a proven financial manager with years of leadership experience in dynamic organizations. He is well-qualified to serve as the next county commissioner for precinct 3! His leadership, integrity, and financial experience will be a significant asset to Collin County!

My financial and leadership experience makes me uniquely qualified for this position. I have the conservative values, financial skills, and business experience necessary to lead Collin County as the next Commissioner of Precinct 3. As a proven fiscal conservative, I am able to address the county’s complex budget decisions with a steadfast commitment to keeping our taxes low. As a Certified Public Accountant, my commitment is always to my client, and I pledge to serve the people of Collin County with that same leadership, integrity, and experience.–Chris Hill
